Summary
This position is responsible for engaging with child care providers, facilitating ongoing provider support groups, roundtable discussions, and building strong networking connections. Assist in the coordination of provider recruitment and retention activities. Assist the Provider Support Specialist with the WV CARES process and with WV STARS pre-service registration and on-going WV STARS support. Educate and assist child care providers on current Grant opportunities, process Health & Safety Grant applications, connect child care providers with relevant resources, and assist with displays and marketing to create awareness of the CCR&R program.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements described are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experience with DoHS Child Care Subsidy Policy and Procedures. Working knowledge of WV CARES and the WV STARS system. Works well independently. Excellent telephone and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Interpersonal Communications, Elementary or Special Education or Behavioral Science.
Must have a valid driver’s license. APS/CPS check and a clear criminal background check with no charges related to child abuse and neglect, domestic violence or drug charges.
Rate of Pay
$20.00 – $22.00 based on experience/qualifications
