Service Coordinator – WV Birth to Three, RAU 5
Summary
This position acts as the first step between families, practitioners, and other organizations to provide needed services for children, zero to three, who have delays, are at risk for delay, or who have an established condition as defined by the WV Birth to Three program. This position will cover multiple counties within RAU 5. Barbour, Lewis, Preston, Randolph, Taylor, Tucker, and Upshur counties.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements described are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Some computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with office equipment. Must have good recall memory, typing, organizational and listening skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills (e.g., nonjudgmental, objective, reflective, empathic, patient, tactful). Ability to establish rapport with families and empower them by building on their strengths, strong organizational and record keeping skills. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated (often in the field).
Education and/OR Experience
bachelor’s degree in human service field such as social work, psychology, counseling, or another related field. Must have a valid drivers license, clear criminal background, and APS/CPS check. Language skills include the ability to write reports and other written communication. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Rate of Pay
$15.00 – $16.50 depending on qualifications
