 Job Title: Early Childhood Specialist

Department:  Child Care Resource and Referral Region V

Job Site: Elkins, Grafton, or Martinsburg, WV

Job Synopsis:

Deliver professional development and technical assistance to early childcare professionals in a variety of settings. Services are provided via general community trainings, site-specific trainings, site specific technical assistance, and professional development training modules.

Work as a member of an early childhood Professional Development Team to ensure comprehensive services are delivered to childcare providers. The Early Childhood Specialist will promote and model quality childcare services and link childcare providers to an array of valuable resources.

Educational Requirements:

Preferred:

Master’s Degree in early childhood, elementary education, special education, educational psychology, or child development.

Acceptable:

Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood, elementary education, special education, or child development.

WV STARS credential and meet qualifications to be an Entity Approved Professional Development Provider through the WV State Training and Registry System.

Valid driver’s license. APS/CPS check and a clear criminal background check with no charges related to child abuse and neglect, domestic violence or drug charges.

Desirable Qualifications:

A minimum of one-year experience in providing professional development and technical assistance in early care and education to childcare providers. Computer literate.

Salary Range:

$20.03 – $21.10 per hour
